[edit] About The Necromancer

The Necromancer is a support mod that supports any Mages Guild Mod and any Necromancer mod by supplying additional background and lore. It also supports Kvatch Aftermath and Origin of Mages Guild directly and has features to expand upon the lore or features in both those mods. Some seldomly used Kvatch features for example (Under Croft Coffins) are a requirement for some bonus features of this mod and some the documentation available in this mod expand upon the Kvatch Aftermath Necromancer Guild plot line. If you do not have Kvatch Aftermath these books just add a little mystery to the game and play no further part.

The mod adds 6 unique NPC Necromancers to the game, all necromancers and all with their own story to tell. Each one was booted from the Mages Guild for practising Necromancy after Traven banned the practice. All where treated the same way regardless of what they were trying to do and this provides the Necromancer side of the “Traven Banning Necromancy” story.

By talking to them you will see the good and evil side of Necromancy and the Mages Guild and the border line psychotic types. In the process you may understand how may areas of study can be considered Necromancy and how Traven ignored all these facts in his drive to ban them from the guild.

This is not a lesson for players, just my way making sure you see both sides of the story so when you role play your Ultra good or ultra Evil characters, you do not automatically dismiss necromancy as evil and the mages guild as good.

This mod has very few quests and what quests exist are there to support the players long term game and let the player earn the NPCs trust. Only a couple are one shot quests, the rest will keep on working until you are bored with Oblivion. This answers the question “I have done the quests, what now?”. You can actually make a nice living tomb raiding in this mod.

These mod also adds lots of unique stuff including 4 new swords and a new staff that appear as loot in new Tombs or given as gifts as part of rewards for completing some minor quests.
