[edit] Merge all individual UL mods?
I think it would be beneficial for the end user if all the individual Unique Landscapes mods were listed here instead of having their own pages. Any thoughts? --MiSP 13:18, 11 August 2007 (EDT)
- I think it would be useful if each mod had its own page, and this page was a sort of portal page describing the overall series of mods and then linking to the individual projects. -Galahaut 14:57, 11 August 2007 (EDT)
- I like the idea of a single page listing each of the various UL mods. That way, they can be grouped together so you can see the WIPs and planned areas for the future, and compare and contrast the current releases. Having each on their own page seems redundant and a lot of work to maintain them all, unless the individual authors would like to maintain their mod pages properly themselves. --Tom Supergan 18:08, 11 August 2007 (EDT)
- There's good points on both sides, and I don't know exactly how large the individual parts are (i.e. whether they really are stand-alone enough to naturally have their own pages). Although if we could get to an agreement, I'll see if I can get to it tomorrow. --MiSP 19:17, 11 August 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Move to "Unique Landscapes"?
Shouldn't this page be titled "Unique Landscapes", i.e. with a space between the words? --MiSP 13:19, 11 August 2007 (EDT)
- They actually do call the series UniqueLandscapes. -Galahaut 14:57, 11 August 2007 (EDT)
- Very well then. =) --MiSP 19:14, 11 August 2007 (EDT)
- However, all the other UL pages (listing the individual mods) are called "Unique Landscapes". Should something be done about those pages, or this page? (We need to be consistent.) Also, are you sure it's called UniqueLandscapes? I've seen Unique Landscapes many places... --MiSP 19:22, 12 August 2007 (EDT)
- Hmm, seems I was mistaken. Changing this page now. -Galahaut 19:46, 12 August 2007 (EDT)
[edit] Update complete
Whew, seems that was all. I've redone this page from the ground up, redone the two existing UL mod pages and done everything else from scratch. Does it look good? I hope it does, took me all day. ^_^ Apropos, about that backup thing... :P I also took the liberty of telling the UL folks about this, both in the release thread and in the development thread. --MiSP 13:52, 13 August 2007 (EDT)
- Great job, thanks for all the work. Everything looks fine so far. -Galahaut 14:45, 13 August 2007 (EDT)
- Wow, I'm impressed, good job! I especially like the screenshot in the upper right. Captivates your audience immediately, and it's my favorite UL shot of all the ones I've seen in the past. (I'm still waiting for a more definitive statement other than "I hope someone is backing up the site.") Tom Supergan
- Thanks. =) Yeah, I like the general thing with one screenshot in the upper right as an ingress image of some kind. As you say, it captivates the audience. Then, of course, all the other screenshots come further down the page (not at this page, but at the individual UL pages, and most other pages with screenshots). I like to place the screenshot section just below the initial description, so that the section is easily visible and near the top. IMHO, every mod page should contain at least one screenshot as ingress image. As for the one chosen here; yeah, that one was my favourite too. ^_^ --MiSP 18:50, 15 August 2007 (EDT)
- Definitely agree that every mod page, when appropriate, should have a sideline/ingress/whatever we call them screenshot. I was thinking of creating a page (or maybe a "tutorial?") listing ways to contribute to/help with the Wiki, such as adding new mods, updating old mods, filling in author pages, adding screenshots, checking for broken links, etc. I think it would be helpful (and pretty easy) to create a list, or maybe even a category (like the rewrite and missing links categories), for mods without screenshots. Perhaps we should leave that for later, though. -Galahaut 18:58, 15 August 2007 (EDT)
- Yeah, such a category might be an idea. Not all mods are directly suitable for screenshots though, but I don't think it ever can hurt. I mean, for mods that don't change anything specific visually, one could easily add a screenshot of e.g. a in-game mod-added menu if that's applicable; or if it's something that overhauls the fighting system, include a screenshot of a fight. One thing's for certain - pages without screenshots look quite simply dull (IMHO, and in many other's too). --MiSP 19:07, 15 August 2007 (EDT)
- In the name of the Unique Landscapes team I would like to thank everyone who participated in these pages. I will adjust them step by step, then remove most of the mod information from our threads and instead put links to the according articles here. --Cthulhu314 08:49, 18 August 2007 (EDT)
- Fantastic! That might also just be the publicity Oblivion Mod Wiki needs to fully come "back to life" again. =) --MiSP 15:03, 18 August 2007 (EDT)
