The thunderstorm effects are a wee bit wimpy, so this mod tries to make them a little bit more atmospheric -- when a storm hits, you really want to know it.
This mod tweaks the thunder to be louder, increases the frequency of lightning and thunder, makes the lightning slighter brighter, and doubles the wind speed. Overall, it makes a thunderstorm a little more stormier. :)
Note: The thunderstorm sounds aren't as loud as I'd like them to be -- you need the type of bass that shakes your walls when thunder hits -- but this about as good as they can get with .esp tweaking. To better these it'll require someone to replace the sound files with new ones, and this modder isn't a sound effects engineer. Feel free to take up the challenge!
Compatibility -- this mod works just fine with the excellent More Sky Climates Mod by j4m3sb0nd, as the mod doesn't touch the default thunderstorms at all.

Excellent, excellent mod. The sad truth is that the storms in Oblivion lack the ferocity and the sheer power of real storms. This mod fixes that. More vivid lightning and more stunning thunder effects can be observed, and the wind truly is frightening. It's like being in the middle of Alabama in the middle of fricking July during a thunderstorm. Truly awe-inspiring.
