The Novice/Apprentice/Journeyman/Expert/Master skill perks system in Oblivion is a very cool addition to the game. However, I felt that the in-game descriptions when you attained these rankings were stale and lacking in creativity. Reaching the rank of Master gave you the exact same message as when you reached Apprentice, except the titles and effects were swapped. The descriptions are now more dynamic and colorful than before, as becoming a Master is quite different from becoming an Apprentice. It's just a little mod, but it was a good way to sharpen my creative writing skills and start my modding career at the same time.
This mod also adds a book on the counter of First Edition Books in the Imperial City. It's a simple preview (read: shameless advertisement) for my upcoming mod, Ghostpath. Not really a big deal, and easily ignored.

As someone said in the PES comments for this mod, "it's amazing what you don't realize what's missing until someone adds it." I never really paid much attention to the perk text, for exactly the reason this mod was created: the perk text was boring, and pretty much all the same. Now I actually find myself reading the perk descriptions when I get them. There are a few descriptions that seem a bit out of place (Destruction Expert, for example (see screenshot)), but, this is an easy mod to modify to your own preferences. Don't like a description? Open up the mod, change it, problem solved. This mod may not be game changing or "essential," but it's interesting and unique enough that I'll probably keep the new descriptions for awhile.
