Morroblivion is a mod for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion that seeks to merge the content from the previous game in the series, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, into the more modern gaming engine of Oblivion. Details are available on the Morroblivion FAQ.
While ownership of both games is required to play, the player only actually plays Morroblivion using the Oblivion game, and not the older Morrowind game. This means that the user interface, combat, graphics, and system requirements for the Morroblivion mod are all those of Oblivion, and NOT Morrowind.
Morroblivion is also the name of the tool written by Galadrielle that converts content from Morrowind to run in the Oblivion engine.
Initially, the Morroblivion project got off to a rough start due to the disappearance of Galadrielle, the author of the software tool that is used for converting Morrowind content into Oblivion format. Progress during 2010 and 2011, however, has been rapid. Detailed history is available on the Morroblivion Forums.
 Current Status
Today, Morroblivion is a fully playable, working game world. Quests, NPCs, creatures, items, and graphical features all have been painstakingly converted, upgraded and/or created by hand to bring a true-to-the-original experience that takes advantage of many of Oblivion's advanced features. This project incorporates the work of dozens of dedicated modders working together since 2007.
