The first official plugin has been released for US$1.99. Xbox 360 owners pay US$2.50 instead due to Xbox Live Marketplace overheads.
Unlike character armor it has no armor rating, never wears out or needs to be repaired, and the horse cannot gain experience by taking damage while wearing it. On the technical side, this mod adds adjusted horse models reskinned with one of two types of armor (Steel or Elven). Wearing the armor merely increases the horse's maximum hitpoints, thereby simulating the added protection the armor gives.
