V2.0 of my pointless, tiny first Oblivion mod. It gives the gold coins a new mesh with environment mapping for shininess. This version also has an edge texture so it looks more like an actual coin. Nothing special or exciting, just a very small cosmetic upgrade.

This version uses an .esp to change the Nif reference for the gold coins. As far as I am aware it works with VenomByte's GoldWeight mod... and anything else that doesn't change the gold coins or their mesh or textures. If you have V1.0 of Better Gold, this will directly replace it.

Regardless of what VA says, this mod is definitely not pointless, although it is "small." It simply replaces the gold coin texture with an improved, higher-res version. Although you really don't see coins lying around often, when you do, they will look much better. In fact, it's "small" mods like these that I tend to like and use. I like to mix and match small mods to acheive the effects I want on my game rather than download one huge mod that does everything one way. If you care about graphics at all, I would recommend downloading and using this mod. Even though it's small, and affects something you don't see very often, it's just one more step towards making the Oblivion graphics even better.

I, too, have used VA's Better Gold Mod for quite some time. As said above, you don't see gold very often. This mod goes really great with Feywulf's Gold Drop Ring, because you can drop gold and have it look decent. The Ring mod isn't that great. You have to add the ring to your inventory via the console. But again, gold looks a TON better with this mod. I recommend this mod for everyone.

A great mod. As mentioned, it doesn't change anything major in the game, but the new gold texture looks really nice. You'll notice it whenever you find gold lying around, or in containers. Lightweight and without any scripts or changes that could cause incompatibilities, so no reason to not download it.

I am with Galahaut on this one, even though it is a small mod and isn't very obvious since how often you see gold lying about, you still can learn to love this. Especially if you get all the other small mods like this one. I love this mod and everyone should have it.

I am, once again, very impressed by the mods made by Vagabondangel. I have used his Katana mod, which looks splendid aswell. I must agree with everyone here, this is not just a tiny mod, it makes a big difference! Since it doesn't interfer with the script, 'cause it just changes the meshes, everyone should just download it!
